MOOC

NTU has signed a partnership agreement with Coursera to offer MOOCs with the aim of showcasing to an international audience the high quality of education enjoyed by its students. Coursera is a leading MOOC platform which has tie-ups with more than 60 universities around the world to offer free and signature track online courses.

The University believes that its modern e-learning infrastructure and online tools as well as state-of-the-art digital media facilities will complement the good teaching of its faculty. With top-notch faculty and e-learning experts teaming up to design and develop its interactive online courses, offering selected courses on Coursera will enable more people to experience the University’s courses taught by world-class NTU professors.

Our matriculated undergraduate student can sign up for the University’s MOOC free of charge.

The following courses were roll out on Coursera.

They are:

  • Beauty, Form, and Function: An Exploration of Symmetry by Professor Tim White, Associate Chair - School of Materials Science and Engineering
  • E-commerce and Technology by Professor Vijay Sethi, star professor at the Nanyang Business School who was named the Business Professor of the Year by the Economist Intelligence Unit in 2013.
